SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya will open the CBI report on the MPSC recruitment scam on Thursday.
During the hearing on Tuesday, the Court said the CBI report was produced in a sealed cover before the court and it will be opened in presence of the Superintendent of Police, the CBI and the counsels for the parties. The copies of the same will also be furnished to the counsels for the parties when the matter is heard on November 17.
The CBI probe was ordered following a petition filed by one of the candidates, Millon Ch Momin, on the alleged manipulation in recruitment to fill 34 posts of Meghalaya Police Service Officer under the Home (Police) Department.
Momin, after clearing the PE test, the preliminary written examination and the subsequent mains written examination conducted from September 8-16, 2014, did not find a place on the list of successful candidates, which prompted him to file a petition in the court.
