Demand for token system in banks

SHILLONG: The JSU has urged banks in Jaintia Hills to start issuing tokens to ease the chaos on bank premises. “The token system will give some relief to the customers,” the JSU said n a system.

Conviction
SHILLONG: The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Shillong convicted one Robert Lamlasuong Singson who was booked by Madanrting Traffic Branch under section 184  of the Motor Vehicle Act for driving dangerously. A fine of Rs.1000 was imposed on him.

Rape attempt
SHILLONG:  A woman filed a complaint that one Orakle Wanniang attempted to rape her 17-year-old daughter on the evening of November 14. South West Khasi Hills police immediately arrested the accused and a case has been registered under Mawkyrwat Police Station.
