SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has requested NEHU to immediately redress the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) implemented by the University. The organisation, in a petition to the Commissioner Secretary, Education, D. P. Wahlang, urged him to look into the matter as the CBCS has caused unnecessary restrictions to the students while choosing their subjects at the under graduate level. “The students of the University are in a dilemma and hence requires your immediate intervention to this unjustified decision by the North-Eastern Hill University Administration,” they stated. In this connection, the KSU has demanded that the Education Department should verify the decision and immediately direct the Vice-Chancellor, NEHU to withdraw the said decision.
