SHILLONG: Police have arrested one Resender Markhap, 46, on charge of raping an eight-year-old girl at Umsaw-Nongbri village under Nongpoh police station.The accused was arrested following filing of a complaint on November 25.In another incident, a woman lodged a complaint that on November 22 around 3:30 pm, one Mukesh Sharma attempted to rape her at Thangskai village in East Jaintia Hills.
