Women to run JNNURM buses in Ri Bhoi village

SHILLONG: A women’s organization in Ri Bhoi has come forward to run buses sanctioned under JNNURM.
The Nongkhrah Nonglyngdoh Women’s Organization will run the two JNNURM buses launched at Raid Nonglyngdoh, Pahambirlum, Ri Bhoi by Chief adviser to the State government D. D. Lapang on Tuesday.
The women’s group has taken the initiative for the benefit of students of the area and the people in general. Lauding the initiatives taken by the women’s organization to ease the hardship of the people particularly school children of eight villages, Lapang said that the government has provided many schemes and projects including transport facilities for the benefit of the public and it is the responsibility of the people to utilise and manage the schemes.
