JOWAI: Mushrot village under Laskein C&RD Block in West Jaintia Hills is reeling under darkness for over seven months now thanks to the alleged improper maintenance of the transformer installed in the village by the MeECL.
Residents of two localities in Mushrot, Dong Nein and Dong Lum Mujem, say that their numerous complaints have fallen on deaf ears. A visit to the village on Wednesday evening revealed the sorry state of affairs there.
Residents have also urged the local MLA to take up the matter so that power supply can be restored in the village.
