BJP, Syiemlieh clan jubilant over UPSC feat

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Committee of the BJP lauded the central government for recommending the name of David R. Syiemlieh to the President for the post of UPSC Chairman.
The state party committee said the appointment of Syiemlieh as the chairman of UPSC is a matter of great pride for Meghalaya and the entire northeastern region.
It added that the renowned historian would continue to be a role model, particularly for Young India.
Meanwhile, the Syiemlieh clan congratulated the new UPSC chairman on the feat and said the achievement has brought glory to the seven ‘trep’.
