SHILLONG: Two unidentified bodies are in the city hospital morgues for identification.
In the first instance, the body of a man was found hanging from a tree near old GS Road Forest on January 6. The body was tied to the branch with a yellow coloured rope around the neck. Inquest and other formalities have been observed and the corpse has been forwarded to SDM&HO Civil Hospital, Shillong, for postmortem.
The body is kept in the Civil Hospital morgue for identification and claiming.
In another instance, around 5pm on the same day, one Indro Singh got admitted in NEIGRIHMS hospital and on the same day at 10pm he passed away. The deceased man’s proper name is not known and is suspected to be of Naga origin. Inquest and other formalities have been observed and the body is kept in the NEIGRIHMS hospital morgue room for identification and claiming.
