SHILLONG: Aynul Hazarika, the city-based lawyer, who allegedly molested an intern, was arrested and later released on bail on Monday.
He appeared before the police on Monday with his wife and after the formalities, was released on bail since the offence is bailable. However, the accused is being questioned.
A 20-year-old law student had alleged that Advocate Hazarika sexually harassed her and continued the shameful act even after her resistance.
In her FIR, the girl said when she went to Hazarika’s chamber at Keating Road for an internship under him, she was given some typing work in his computer.
In due course of time, the advocate allegedly molested the law student thrice, but she resisted and ran out to report the matter to the police.
