KSU donates tin for school roof

NONGPOH:  The KSU on Tuesday donated tinned roof to the Jubilee Presbyterian Upper Primary School located on the Guwahati-Shillong road at Mawpdang village in Ri Bhoi District, which was badly affected in the hailstorm which occurs on Sunday.
The KSU, North Khasi Hills District, led by its president, Ferdynald Kharkamni and general secretary, Joseph Lambok Rymbai accompanied by members from the District Unit donated three bands of tinned roof to the school.
Speaking to media persons, Kharkamni said that the Union was concerned not only to this particular school but to all the affected residents of the District.
“The organisation will try to find out ways and means in our capacity to help them as soon as possible and we also urged the local representatives, State Government and the District Administration to speed up the process of providing relief fund and materials to all those affected,” he added.
The Union urged the District Administration to publicise a District relief fund committee, so as to enable the people from across the state and the country as a whole, which are willing to extend their helping hands can contribute towards this cause through that committee.
