SHILLONG: A labourer on Monday recovered a hand-grenade while digging a foundation pit at a construction site at Nongmynsong.
The construction site is at Lumshyiap, Nongmynsong and belongs to Ila Lyngdoh Mawnai.
The hand-grenade has been handed over to police at Nongmynsong outpost.
Petrol bomb hurled at Railway guest house
SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants hurled petrol bomb in front of the Railway guest house at Kench’s Trace here on Saturday night. An FIR in this connection has been filed by Montu Borah and two others. No injury or loss of property was reported. Police are yet to make any arrests into the incident.
Khasi movie DVD released
SHILLONG: The DVD of Khasi movie “Jeff” starring Hilarius Kharbihkhiew was released on Monday. Kharbihkhiew, who is also the director of the movie, informed that though the movie was released in 2015 it took him a year to come up with the DVD.
