Explosion at Kamjong on poll eve

Imphal:  A powerful bomb exploded in Manipur’s Kamjong district on Tuesday on the eve of the second phase of Manipur assembly poll when a patrol party of 31 Assam Rifles was on foot patrol duty, Police said here the explosion took place at about 3.30 pm on Kongal-Aisi road and there was no report of injury.
Kamjong district is one of those which will go to the polls for the Manipur assembly in the second phase on Wednesday. A large number of security forces rushed to the spot after the explosion but none was arrested, the police added. (PTI)
