Internet provided to 118 educational institutes

SHILLONG: As many as 118 educational institutions in the State have been provided with internet facilities by the government.
Informing this in the Assembly on Thursday, Information Technology Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh that the department had executed an agreement with BSNL in 2014 for providing wifi connectivity to various schools and colleges in the State.
In reply to a question by Diosstarness Jyndiang (HSPDP), Lyngdoh said that 91 higher secondary schools and 27 colleges were provided with internet connectivity.
