KJP Synod prays for women safety

JOWAI: The 15th Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Synod Mihngi (KJPSM), an annual church meeting, that started on March 16 at Ummulong Presbyterian Church concluded on Sunday.
Faithful from across Khasi and Jaintia Hills attended the church meeting.  Public representatives including Member of Parliaments, Vincent H Pala, other MLAs and MDCs were also present.
The KJP Synod Mihngi Moderator, Rev RH Lyngkhoi said that KJP is concerned about the violence against women and girls in the State and decided to offer a special prayer for their safety.
The KJP Synod Mihngi has also ordained nine pro-pastors by the moderator and these pro pastors will be ordained pastor in the next KJP Synod Mihngi which will be held at Tynring Presbyterian Church under Laitumkrah Presbytery. Six pro pastors were ordained in the church meeting.
He urged the believers to be faithful in all respect as a real Christian not as pretenders.
Various choir groups including Choir of Laban Presbyterian church, Umsyiem, Sutnga and Umlyngka who sang in the morning service while Choir groups from the hoist church, Ummulong besides Jowai and Laitumkhrah Presbyterian church and also from the Standing Choir KJP Synod Mihngi presented their songs in the afternoon service.
