SHILLONG: A minor girl was abducted in West Garo Hills and she was kept in an undisclosed place.
Father of 14-year-old girl, Rangsangmali Rabha, lodged a complaint that on March 14 his daughter was found missing while she was on her way from Nolbari, Tikrikilla to Chibinang.
Later, it transpired that one tempo driver Md. Assistur Ali (Rahul) had abducted the girl and kept her in an undisclosed place.

Swachhta pakhwada observed
SHILLONG: The Central Water Commission under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation is observing the ‘Swachhta pakhwada’ to raise awareness and to achieve the goal of universal sanitation, hygiene from March 16-31.
Cleaning activities such as cleaning of the water body, white washing of pond periphery and painting of pond fence inside the Lady Hydari Park have been taken up by the officers and staff of CWC in Shillong.
