SHILLONG: The absence of Social Welfare Minister Clement Marak in the budget session was questioned by NPP legislator James Sangma in the Assembly on Friday.
After Chief Minister Mukul Sangma answered a question related to the Social Welfare department during the question hour, James said that the Minister remains absent during most Assembly sessions.
However, Speaker AT Mondal intervened and said, “The Minister is on a medical leave and he had written to me”.
