SHILLONG: A group of students from different city-based colleges will come together on Sunday to make the city cleaner.
Students of St Edmund’s College, Women’s College and IGNOU have decided to come forward and show the courage to clean up areas filled with garbage at Anjali Slum Harijan Colony. The drive will start from 10 am onwards.
SPARK, which has started an educational centre in the slum, has taken the initiative to motivate the community to come forward to participate in the cleaning drive along with students of Social Work from different renowned colleges.  The drive will also make people of the slum aware of hygiene and make them understand the importance of cleanliness.
