Salary enhancement

SHILLONG:  While the Joint Action Committee of All Teachers Association of Meghalaya (JACATAM) has set April 11 deadline for the Government to enhance the salary of teachers, the All Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association has decided to wait instead of joining the group.
The All Meghalaya Ad hoc Upper Primary School Teachers Association said that while JACATAM wanted provincialisation last year, there is a shift from its demand this year to enhancement of pay.
The Association further said that it does not have any grudge against JACATAM, but only wanted to wait before giving any deadline to Government.
