SHILLONG: The Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Egenstar Kurkalang has criticised the former UPA regime and the Congress led government in the state for not taking the border dispute seriously.
“Congress government has no interest to solve the interstate border dispute of Meghalaya and Assam,” he said in a press statement.
Asserting that people are being betrayed and cheated as the boundary issue is being taken as election propaganda, he said that the matter has not resolved till date.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the initiative after learning about the issue.” he said.
The  Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha expressed gratitude to Assam Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal and Modi for taking the initiative to solve the long pending border dispute.
