NONGSTOIN: The MDC scheme was distributed at Sieljieh village in Nongstoin on Saturday by MDC L.G. Nongsiej.
Nongsiej had distributed the scheme earlier this year as well to more than 12 villages which include schools, community halls, churches and footbridges with an amount of 60 lakhs.
The MDC had handed over the work order in front of a large gathering in different venues on Saturday. Nongsiej said that in his several years as an MDC, the schemes was allotted for the first time, adding that “the beneficiaries was benefited even though the schemes was too small compared to the MLA scheme.”
He also told that the scheme will also provide for the construction of footpath, community hall, and school for villages under Nongstoin Constituency, hoping that the beneficiaries will complete the work on time.
The function was also attended by Headman S.K. Thongni, other village elders and the villagers.
Nongsiej also distributed 17 lakhs to the village as an MDC schemes, meanwhile on the same day Nongsiej distributed the schemes to other nine villages include schools, churches and other.
