SHILLONG: The All Meghalaya Ad hoc Upper Primary School Teachers Association has asked the Chief Minister and the Education Minister to lend an ear to their demand for enhancement of pay in line with the pay hike implemented for Secondary and Higher Secondary sections.
“We are facing hardships as we have not been invited by the Government for talks after the implementation of pay hike for the secondary and higher secondary school teachers since September,” the Association said.
According to the teachers’ body, though a memorandum was submitted to the government, there was no favourable response.
The teachers’ body wanted the government to call them for talks.
