Man attempts rape on 5-yr-old daughter

SHILLONG: A person allegedly attempted to rape his five-year-old daughter in a village in West Jaintia Hills. Police said one Rimiki Chyrmang (23) attempted to rape his minor daughter at his residence at Lumpyrtuh in West Jaintia Hills around 7.30 pm on February 6. Cases of rape and sexual assault of minors have been on the rise in the State which has been hit by a sex racket involving a 14-year-old minor girl in the capital city of Shillong.
