SHILLONG: Power Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar said on Tuesday there will be no power cut during examinations. Board examinations will start from the first week of March.
Dhar said the State Government is processing the payment of MeECL’s power dues to NEEPCO. The loan that Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has agreed to give is still under process.
“The loan has not been released yet as the preparations for finalising different tasks is still going on,” Dhar said, adding that the State Government could not pay all the power companies but the dues will be cleared in installments.
The State government has decided to be the loan guarantor for MeECL to clear the Rs 469.32-crore dues to NEEPCO.
