SHILLONG: The two-day festival scheduled to begin on February 23 will have all fun-filled events at the programme, organised by the Dorbar Shnong of Umsning Proper B in association with the Arts and Culture Society, Nongpoh.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Rangbah Shnong of Umsning Proper-B, Rocky A Marwein said the festival will showcase cultural folk dance and different tribal dance of Ri Bhoi district.
“We want to showcase our rich tradition and food habits before the world since it they are dwindling,” he added.
In addition, modern song competition, modelling, photography and arm wrestling competitions will be a part of the festival.
The visitors can also enjoy the local cuisine of various tribes.
