28 injured in bus accident in NGH

SHILLONG: As many as 28 passengers sustained injuries in a bus accident in Sarangma, North Garo Hills, on Sunday. All the injured were admitted at Dainadubi PHC for fast aid. Those who sustained serious injuries were referred to Goalpara PHC.According to police, the incident took place around 1.15 pm near Sarangma petrol pump.The Shallang (West Khasi Hills) bound passenger bus (AS-15A-6959) was coming from Assam’s Solmari area in Goalpara district.  According to passengers, the driver lost control of the bus which hit the tree resulting in the accident.

Two injured in accident
On February 16 at around 7.30 am, one motorcycle ridden by Banseng Momin met with an accident at Agalgre village, East Garo Hills. As a result, the motorcycle rider and one pillion rider sustained minor injuries.
Anonymous call
One Wanroi Dkhar of Tuber Kmaishnong (EJH) lodged a complaint that on February 12 at about 1.40 pm, he received one anonymous phone call, wherein the caller threatened him with dire consequences.
