SHILLONG: The delay in issuing application for the ST/PRC/income certificate has prompted the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) to write to the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills.
BJYM president Egenstar Kurkalang said the DC office is delaying the process and some applications are pending since September 2016. The application for the certificate can be sent online or offline.
Kurkalang asserted that the delay has created difficulties for people, especially for students, even as the Centre is going all out to digitise India. He said the delay would affect the spirit of online system and it might discourage people from opting for digitisation.
BJYM has urged the Deputy Commissioner to look into the matter at the earliest.
