Agartala: Trinamool Congress on Sunday charged BJP for maintaining a clandestine relation with the Left Front government of Tripura to reduce the opposition strength in the Rajya Sabha for passing the controversial and anti-people bills in coming sessions.
Talking to the media here on Sunday TMC Tripura president Ashis Saha alleged that both BJP and CPI-M have not disturbing each other for their narrow political interest leasing out the peoples’ issue and sufferings of the common men.
He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP party were well-informed about the involvement of the Left Front government and CPI-M leaders of Tripura in the Rose Valley scam, as the particular Ponzy firm had started business from the state only. Later, it spread operation in state like Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
Interestingly, neither BJP party in Tripura nor the Central government take any step to start CBI investigation in the Rose Valley cases in the state, which looted out more than Rs 5000 crore from the people of Tripura alluring hefty returns in short term in connivance with Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and a number of his cabinet colleagues and CPI-M party leaders.
“Not Trinamool Congress or other opposition parties, the Central security agencies had also sent the evidences and records of the involvement of Sarkar and his party in the Rose Valley scam in Tripura several times but the CBI has not yet interrogate any of the accused in the government, which shows the weakness of the Modi government towards CPI-M,” Saha alleged.
