SHILLONG: The last full Budget of the five-year term of the Congress-led MUA-II government till the State goes to polls in the early part of next year will be presented on March 15.
The Budget will be passed on March 20.
Though the earlier date for the culmination of the Assembly session was on March 23 starting from March 3, the Business Advisory Committee met on Monday and revised the calendar of the Budget session extending it for one more day (March 24).
Out of the 15 working days, nine days have been allotted for Government business and six days for private members’ business. The Governor will address the House on the first day of the session on March 3.
However, as per the calendar, unlike the past, only one-and-a-half days are allotted for discussion on the Budget and two days for discussion on the Governor’s address.
