SHILLONG: Members of the House made frequent interruptions during a discussion on uranium mining following a zero hour notice moved by HSPDP MDC Teilinia Thangkhiew on the second day of the KHADC’s budget session here on Tuesday.
KHADC Chairman LG Nongsiej intervened stating that each member will be allotted 10 minutes to take part in the discussion but to no avail.
Speaking to reporters after the session was adjourned, Nongsiej said, “Rules do not allow members to interrupt. Nobody is above rules.”
“Members should be aware of how to maintain decorum in the House,” he said, adding,  “Rules have been circulated to each member on how to maintain decorum (in the House).”
