NONGPOH: As Ri Bhoi district turns 25 this year, the office of Deputy Commissioner has announced setting up of Ri Bhoi District Silver Jubilee Organising Committee for the anniversary celebrations.
The committee will be headed by Umsning legislator Celestine Lyngdoh as Chairman.The week-long celebrations will start from June 3 till June 9.
The panel of the organising committee also includes the chief adviser to Government of Meghalaya and Nongpoh legislator DD Lapang and Deputy Commissioner C.P Gotmare as advisers, representative from educational institutions, traditional heads, Synjuk Ki Dorbar Shnong, political parties, media, NGOs and religious head as members.
