SHILLONG: With over 23,000 commercial vehicles evading passengers and goods tax, the State Government has decided to issue notices to such vehicle owners.
Secretary to the Finance Department Sanjay Goyal told reporters on Tuesday that the taxation department will tie up with the transport department to realise the tax as large-scale evasion of tax was reported. Goyal said this would be one of the means of mobilising additional resource.
