Inter School Cricket: Holycross, K.V. Happy Valley win ties

SHILLONG: Holycross Sec. School defeated Bhanu Bhakta Sec. School by 2 wickets while K.V. Happy Valley scored a massive 123-run win against St. Nanak Sec. School in the U-18 Senior category of the Inter School Cricket Tournament here on Thursday. In the first match of the day, Bhanu Bhakta batted first and scored 70/10 in 16 overs. Caine Damon Rani contributed 13 runs while Nitesh Kumar claimed 5 wickets. In their chase Holycross reached the target in 17.2 overs. Abhishek Kumar scored 21 runs while Ashish Biswa took 3 wickets. In the second match, K.V. Happy Valley elected to bat first and scored 171/10 in 24.2 overs. Anish Charak scored 29 runs and Sanjeev Thakur scored 25 runs. Binod Ray took 3 wickets for the bowling side. In reply, St. Nanak were bowled out for 48 in 14.5 overs. Ravishankar Yadav scored 19 runs. Rishab Rai claimed three wickets while Yash Mittal took two wickets.
