One killed in accident in NH-44

SHILLONG: One person died and others sustained injuries when a Tata Sumo turned turtle at Thangskai village, NH-44 in East Jaintia Hills.
The mishap occurred on Wednesday around 6 am when a Tata Sumo (MZ-01M-1638) driven by Lalrinmawnia Ralte dashed against one vehicle (ML-11-0635).
In the incident, one occupant of the vehicle J. Zobawia (36) died on the spot, while nine others sustained injuries and were shifted to Community Health Centre Khliehriat.
Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver was sent to CHC Khliehriat for postmortem.
