SHILLONG: One girl was allegedly raped at Bynther in West Khasi Hills. Police said that as per the complaint on April 8, one Neverson Lyngdoh Mawnai raped the girl.
In another incident, one person lodged a complaint that on April 23 and 26, one Md. Nur Zaman, attempted to molest the daughter (14) of the complainant while she went to the pharmacy of the accused at Jamgao Sorokpara to purchase some medicines.
In another case, one person of Wahlyngkien, Mawphlang in East Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that on April 25 around 10 am, one Philip Kharkongor abducted his mother. On April 26, the accused dropped her back home and threatened her with dire consequences.
