CS to pursue border issue with Assam counterpart

SHILLONG: Chief Secretary K.S Kropha will request his Assam counterpart to schedule a meeting on border dispute.
During the border talks held between the chief ministers of Assam and Meghalaya, Sarbananda Sonowal and Mukul Sangma, respectively, on April 1 in Guwahati after a gap of seven years, it was decided to entrust the matter to the chief secretaries of both the states.
Kropha recently said he would request his Assam counterpart to fix a date for the meeting.
The 12 areas of difference, formation of a boundary commission and other issues will be part of the agenda.
