MPYC accuses BJP of dividing the country

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC), president, Richard Marak hit back at BJP, criticising that the party intends to divide the people and it already taken root in the State.
He added that India is known to be a secular country which was changed after BJP came to power.
Marak, while addressing a programme after office bearers were elected to the Mawsynram Assembly Youth Congress (MAYC) held in Mawsynram on Saturday, stated that the Congress government respects all religions, communities and different cultural sections. “I have seen that the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi went on dividing the unity that India is known for,” he added.
Marak urged the people to not allow such political party, who have the intention to divide the state and the country, to come into power. “The citizens of Meghalaya should pay tribute to late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for being instrumental in granting statehood to the state,” he added.
On the other hand, the office bearers of Mawsynram Assembly Youth Congress (MAYC) are president- Bananosha Lartang, vice-president- Pynsuk Myrthong, general secretary- Lurshai Tohtih beside others.
