11 killed as storm lashes parts of Bangladesh

Dhaka: At least 11 persons, including two women, have been killed and many injured when a severe storm lashed parts of Bangladesh.
Four persons were killed and over 100 houses were damaged as the storm lashed Rajshahi district on Monday. Two women were killed in lightning at Shibganj in Chapainawabganj.
Also, five persons were killed when a boat, carrying six passengers, capsized in the Padma river in Dorgapara area during the storm on Monday, the Daily Star reported. One of the passengers managed to swim ashore and the bodies of five persons, who went missing after the capsize have been recovered, the report said. (PTI)
