SHILLONG: The State Government has constituted a panel to look into the creation of posts for newly created districts, civil sub division and others.
The Empowered Sanctioning Committee was informed by the Commissioner and Secretary, Home (Police) Department.
The Committee will be headed by the chief secretary as its chairman and members will include the additional chief secretary, principal secretaries in charge of Finance and Planning and commissioner secretary in charge of the Planning Department.
The principal secretary, Personnel and AR Department, will be the member secretary. The terms of reference of the Empowered Sanctioning Committee is to examine and recommend the sanction of proposals for creation of both gazetted and non-gazetted posts on creation of new districts, sub-divisions, administrative units, police stations and any other expenditure likely to arise upon the creation of new districts etc.
