New Arunachal Assembly building ready

Itanagar, May 03 (PTI) The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s new building is ready to hold its first session on May 12. Chief Minister Pema Khandu inspected the upcoming Assembly building yesterday. The Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Tenzing Norbu Thongdok briefed the chief minister on the status of the construction work, an official release informed here today. The Assembly building’s hall with most advanced facilities has seating capacity of 90. The executing agency informed the chief minister that the main Assembly hall was complete. The Deputy Speaker Tumke Bagra accompanied the chief minister during the visit. The Assembly houses chambers for the chief minister, the speaker, the deputy speaker and a resting hall for the legislators. The chief minister also inspected the library hall, the cafeteria and the conference hall, the release added. PTI
