South West Garo Hills police personnel work at clearing the road leading to Salmanpara after a tree fell across during the storm on Saturday night. The storm damaged several houses and uprooted trees damaging electric lines in some parts of the district and the police personnel have been at work from early Sunday morning clearing roads and helping the villagers to restore their damaged dwellings.
