Irish investors keen to visit Nagaland: Rio

Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday said a delegation of businessmen from Ireland will visit Nagaland soon to study the situation and scopes of their business in the state.

Talking to mediapersons during the inaugural function of the new office building of the Nagaland Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts here this morning, Mr Rio said that he visited Ireland and delivered lecture at the Queen’s University in Belfast on invitation and toured some of the developmental projects, including cattle farm and piggeries.

He termed the tour as an educative one to implement latest system in those farms for the development of some projects in the state.

Mr Rio also said he met the business organisations of Ireland and invited to them invest or to set up their industries in Nagaland.

The business community also assured him that a delegation will soon visit Nagaland to study the political situation and scopes of their business in the state.

He also said that he had discussion with the educational institutions of Ireland to facilitate Naga students to study in advance courses, for which the communication is expected soon. (UNI)
