SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) will soon revise the syllabus and textbooks for the Higher Secondary level.
Speaking to The Shillong Times on Monday, MBoSE Executive Chairman Pravin Bakshi said the board has already posed questions on its website on what should be the possible changes in the syllabus and textbooks.
Besides, the board is also writing to heads of institutions seeking their qualitative feedback, constructive criticism and suggestions on restructuring of the textbooks.
“It’s a long-drawn process. We have to make some guidelines, besides views have to be harmonised,” he said.
MBoSE has also tied up with renowned publishers for teachers’ workshop in June and an open symposium with faculty members to discuss about the revision, Bakshi said.
The syllabus was last revised 6-7 years ago. The revision has proved fruitful.
