SHILLONG: The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the FKJGP has slammed the State Government for initiatives like Aquaculture Mission, Horticulture Mission and Livestock Mission, which the pressure group feels have only led to wastage of public money.
The pressure group said that despite the fancied government initiatives, farmers have continued to be at the receiving end and the mercy of the rich.
The FKJGP said it will act as a watch dog to ensure the poor are not harassed.
It also condemned the government for its inability to tackle cattle smuggling to Bangladesh.
The federation also called for zero tolerance against influx of illegal migrants.
