SHILLONG: Chief Adviser to the government of Meghalaya DD Lapang inaugurated a new building of Umlyngkdait Community Hall at Umlyngkdait village, Ri Bhoi, on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Lapang lauded the village authority for properly utilizing of the scheme allotted by the government.
Constructed under the BRGF scheme, Rs 2 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of the new building.
Block Development Officer, Umling C&RD Block PS Kharkongngor, local headman, HW Lartang were also present on the occasion.
In the meeting, a memorandum pertaining to village footpath, school building, water supply and playground was submitted to Lapang, who is the local MLA.
The former Chef Minister assured that he would take up the issues with the concerned departments.
