SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW) has written to its counterpart in Assam requesting intervention in the case of a woman from Jaintia Hills who went missing from Guwahati.
MSCW chairperson Theilin Phanbuh on Thursday said that the Assam State Commission for Women has been urged to ensure that the investigation process in the case is expedited. The MSCW also made attempts to contact the Kamrup SP on Thursday. The woman Lammidaka Rymbai, who worked as intern at GNRC Hospital in Guwahati went is missing on February 2. Phanbuh said that the Commission has also taken up the matter with Shillong Police.
