SHILLONG: Despite media reports that senior IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary Y. Tsering was already appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Meghalaya on Thursday, he is still holding the additional charge of CS.
Earlier, the media reports had said since Kropha had expressed the desire to relieve himself of the post to the chief minister after his conviction in the coal allocation case, Tsering was appointed in his place.
However, Tsering said that he was not aware of the development while the Principal Secretary in charge personnel and cabinet affairs, Rebecca Suchiang, said Kropha is still on leave.
