SHILLONG: The FKJGP and H.Y.C (Mawlai Circle) will hold a joint meeting on Monday, to discuss on the delay of the MUA-II government in setting up the Mawlai C & RD Block at Mawlai.
In a statement to the press on Sunday, the FKJGP Mawlai circle said that before the two organizations would resort to agitations, they would deliberate on the issue at Community Hall Mawlai Phudmuri in which different groups of people are slated to participate in the discussion.
During the Assembly session in March, there was a surprise protest by members of FKJGP and HYC outside the Assembly premises demanding the early setting up of Mawlai Block.
The pressure groups alleged that while the Blocks under some Congress MLAs were inaugurated in the past, there is undue delay in setting up of Mawlai Block.
