SHILLONG: The Meghalaya forum of ex-MLAs has condoled the death of former MLA and minister Anthony Lyngdoh.
In a condolence message addressed to the family of late Lyngdoh on Sunday, the president of the forum, S.D Khongwir, said it was with “profound sorrow that the forum learnt about the death of the former legislator”.
“Late Lyngdoh was a prominent and active member of the former MLA’s forum. We pray to Heavenly Father to assuage the anguish of the bereaved family,” Khongwir said.
The Meghalaya Retired College Teachers’ Association (MRCTA) also condoled the demise of the former minister.
“Late Lyngdoh was a true friend of the teaching community and tried to intervene and resolve many issues of college teachers during his tenure as Cabinet Minister though he never directly dealt with education portfolio,” MRCTA said.
It conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family and wished that the members of the family will derive strength from the good work done by the late leader in this time of grief.
