Silchar: The police seized explosives, including detonators, being carried in a Silchar-bound bus at Lakhipur in south Assam’s Cachar district, the police said. The explosives seized are 30 detonators, 30 gelatin sticks and eight metre-long fuse wire, enough to cause widespread damage, the police said. Two men carrying the explosives in the bus from Manipur to Silchar were apprehended, the police said adding it was investigating what the two persons intended to do with the stuff. (PTI)
