SHILLONG: The HYC-Ri War Shella Circle (HYC- RWSC) has extended support to the villagers of Thieddieng who are opposing the 85-MW Stage II Mawphu Hydro Electric Project (HEP). The HYC said that NEEPCO is trying to implement the project without securing permission from the villagers.
It may be mentioned that residents of the area claimed that around 93 hectares of land belonging to the villagers of Thieddieng will be affected if the project is implemented.
